June Update

Because I have been taking care of my wife, Liz, who recently underwent a complete knee replacement surgery, I am late in updating my website and trivia section. I know you will appreciate and understand my situation.

Publishing Update

I still have queries and partial submissions for The Sign of the Eagle out to several literary agents and publishers. There are four publishers currently considering the novel. I wrote about one in my last entry and still waiting to hear from the editor. This particular one seems to be the most promising. And as I mentioned a couple of entries back, not one but now there are two e-publishers who would like to publish the novel. However, I will have to wait until September to resubmit to one and January, 2012 to resubmit to the other. I would still prefer a publisher that publishes both traditional and e-books at the same time.

Rewrites

Since I am taking care of my wife, horses, and our mini-farm at the same time, progress on the rewrite of The Wolf of Britannia has slowed down but is still moving along. I am able to attend the Spokane Novelist and Spokane Valley Writers Group as well and read from my latest novel, The Broken Lance.

Short Story

Copies of the December, 2011 issue of Down in the Dirt literary magazine, which contains my short story, Death Most Poisonous, is still available. Click onto the Short Story box at the top of the homepage and click onto http://scars.tv and them click onto Down in the Dirt magazine.

Trivia

Even the Romans could not go a day without a bath. Check out "Public Baths and Bathing in Ancient Rome" on the trivia page.

That's all until next time. Vale! Farewell!
