Book Signing Update

Book Signing Follow-up, Part I.

First of all, I must be getting spoiled with all the great book signings I have experienced, because although my two most recent ones were very good, they did not shatter any records. Nevertheless, management... at both Hastings Stores were very pleased with my results. On Friday, April 19th, I was at Hastings Books, Music & Videos, Couer d'Alene, Idaho, which is only a short drive from where I live. Been to this store before and have always met good people and this was certainly no exception. Handed out lots of flyers and signed a number of copies. Again, management was very accommodating and pleased with my results. I want to thank Book Manager, Cathy, and Associate, Simone for all their help. Enclosed is a picture of my new readers, Eric and Katy.

Book Signing Follow-up Part II.

I spent a good part of Saturday, April 20th at Hastings Books, Music & Videos in Richland, Washington. This is part of the Tri-Cities area where the Columbia, Snake and Yakima Rivers converged into the massive... Columbia, nice area, albeit windy. Another good signing. Met lots of good people, handed out flyers and signed several copies of my historical, THE SIGN OF THE EAGLE. The comment from Book Associate, Sara, "No one has sold as many copies at this store like you have." I'll take that compliment any time.

I want to thank all the associates who made this possible, especially, Sara. I am sending the store manager a card in which I list all the people that were so helpful.

The Broken Lance (work in progress)

Yesterday, Sunday, April 21st, I read chapter 46, the first entry in part III, to the Spokane Valley Writers Group. My mentor and published author, Patricia DeMars Pfeiffer, found several flaws, re: the timeline and backstory, which still need to be addressed. So, it is back to the proverbial "drawing board" to clarify those problems before continuing to chapter 47. Best to discover the problems now than later and perhaps to have the manuscript rejected as a result. These are issues that every good write encounters over the span of writing a book, fiction or non-fiction.

Book Signings

I will be signing copies of The Sign of the Eagle next weekend at the following stores:

  1. Hastings Books, Music & Videos, 1769 N. Lakes Place, Meridian, Idaho (Boise area), Friday, April 26th, 3-8 p.m.

  1. Hastings Books, Music & Videos, 7500 W. Fairview Ave., Boise, Idaho, Saturday, April 27, 1-7 p.m.

That is all for now. Thank you for your support. Hope to see you at the book signings.
